Concept A
Wordmark only
Just "Roost" in italic Fraunces, balanced against the gear icon. Quietest option. Lets the typography do all the work — like a signature at the top of the page.
A coyote crossed your block at dawn.
Concept B
Mark + wordmark lockup
The nest icon (small, simplified) next to "Roost." Reads as a proper brand mark — recognizable even at favicon size. The egg-in-nest already signals the journal/home/nurture register.
The blackberries on 7th are almost ripe.
Concept C
Wordmark with a hidden bird
The second "o" becomes a tiny bird silhouette tucked inside the letterform — like finding a bird in a tree. Typography with a quiet wink. Reads as "Roost" but rewards the eye that looks closer.
Rain on the leaves. The whole world for five minutes.
Concept D
Tucked monogram
A small rust "R" circle with a single gold dot (the egg). Wordmark beside it stays light and small. Reads as a proper app icon at any size — could double as the favicon. Most "branded" of the four.
A vaux's swift was spotted nearby this morning.
